    Alex thanks for the insight on this very helpful.  I also found a place where you can look up url schemes so you can create links the way you suggested above.  It looks like there is  a core group out there looking to make the iOS platform as open as possiable to enhance it’s development.  Since mobile email is a large part of our lives now it only makes sense for app developers and marketers to be on the same page easy ways to access this company investment.

    Great write up on this Alex. Both extremely important for existing app users as well as for new app user activations. If the app is not active on the device it is good to direct them to an interstitial allowing them to download the app now OR get of out the way and take them to the experience online.

    I’m with you on all of this (Doing it myself) except the part where you say “If you click from your iPhone AND have the Vevo app installed”. How do you determine if the user has the app installed?
